I am Cathy Menghini. My husband Joe and I have two daughters, Hayley and Marissa, who are both graduates of Bishop Baraga Catholic School (known then as Dickinson Area Catholic School). We enjoy spending time as a family especially attending Flivver sporting events and drama plays, Julie's Top Hat Dance Studio recitals, and American Martyrs Church.
I grew up in Ohio and moved to the U.P. during my junior year of high school. After graduating from Norway High School, I attended Northern Michigan University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in the areas of Math and Language Arts. I had a great student teaching experience in 5th grade at a Catholic school in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.
I have had the privilege of teaching a variety of grades including preschool, Kindergarten, first grade, and all middle school grades from 5th-8th. This is my sixteenth year at Bishop Baraga Catholic School and my twenty-first with the Diocese of Marquette.
I enjoy teaching in a Catholic school where I can openly share my faith and love of God with everyone who enters the doors. My favorite part of the day is prayer with my students.
